End of Project Samples Week 13

Hello my dolls,

I have to admit that I have been so extremely busy that I have not had the time to type up this piece. I as working 4 days in a row last week and then had Sunday off. And now I have another 3 days in a row to work, but I found a little bit of time to give you my review on the samples that I have used up.

The first sample is the Biotherm Blue Therapy serum and it smells very ocean like fresh scent. It reminds me of Davidoff Cool Water perfume. I don't know, but I am not a huge fan of all these serums. I just don't think they are something I would like to use on a daily basis.

The second sample is the Vichy Idéalia it is the smoothing and illuminating cream. The scent is a bit floral pinky scent. I like it, but do I think it is that illuminating not really. I like it as a primer type of cream. I don't know if it will work fully as a primer as it is too small of a sample to actually judge it like that.

The last is the Anatomicals farewell the scarlet pimplehell deep cleansing mask. It really has a mud look to the mask, and it smells like a botanical garden. At least that reminds me of it. But it is very pleasant smell.
Would I say it is deep cleansing? No probably not, I don't think any of the ''deep cleansing masks'' ever deep cleansing. It does give you a clean feel though.

This week I will not be doing a project samples mainly because I have some other reviews lined up. I will be reviewing all the daily moisturizers and creams I am using on and off.

Project Samples Week 13

Hi my dolls,

I have a new project samples for you. This time they are all in foil packets. I do have to say these foil packets are kind of annoying and I just want to get rid of them asap!!

The first is the Vichy Idéalia smoothing and illuminating cream. I don't have great experience with Vichy on project samples so far. But I hope this one will have a better outcome.
The second is the Biotherm Blue Therapy serum. Another serum in a foil packet which means just one use only. Normally I want more uses from serum samples.
The last is not really a sample but is a full size one off Anatomicals deep cleansing mud mask. I am quite curious about this, just because of it's name. Farewell the scarlet pimplehell

That is it for the samples of this week. Which sample do you look forward to the most to see the review about?

End of Project Samples Week 12

Hi dolls,

I usually post the end of project samples blogpost on Sundays. But I decided to take a little relax break from everything on Sunday and have a proper rest day. Before having a busy day on Monday doing a few chores that I had planned before I actually do a blogpost.

I seriously have admiration for the bloggers that have a full time job and also have a family life. Because I have a lack of time for all the blogging and video making. And I am currently working part-time hours and also do not have a boyfriend whatsoever.

Anyhow I shall continue with the short reviews of the samples I have used the past week.

The first is the Eucerin even brighter cream, it contains spf 30 which I am happy it contains as it is pretty important especially now that it starts to look a little bit like spring. The cream itself feels like it is just pure sun screen because it leaves a white glare on the face. And it feels very greasy, it has some room for improvement.

The second sample is the Goodskin Labs Smooth-365 serum, I quite like it but I wish it didn't came in this small sample. It gave a good base to a more simple moisturizer.

The third and last sample is the Sisley Restorative body cream, I did not like this that much. As it felt very heavy on the skin and also has a medicine/herbal scent. Which I am not a huge fan of.

I will post a new project samples week 13 tomorrow instead of later today.

Project Samples Week 12

Hi dolls,

I have to apologize once again for the lack of blog posts, I seem to not be keeping up with my blog, youtube channel, my social life and a job very well. I will try my best but that is all I can do. I am going to try and make a schedule. Maybe plan a couple of posts ahead. But I cannot promise anything.

I am a day late with this project samples but it should still work out and I can put up the review of it all this Sunday.

The first sample is from GoodSkinLabs and it is the Smooth 365 serum, I am pretty excited to try this out because I have heard some great things about GoodSkinLabs but have yet to try out anything of that brand.
The next sample is the Eucerin  Even Brighter creme, it says it will give you a more even skin tone and will make your pigments disappear. I am curious about this, as it by the same company as Nivea.
The last sample is from Sisley Cosmetics, a pretty high end brand and it is a body cream that I will be testing out. Since it has been so cold lately I need as much body cream as I can take.

Let me know if you have tried any of these brands out and what you think of them.

End of Project Samples Week 11 *

Hi my dolls,

It is the end of project samples week 11. This week has been a crazy busy week for me with a ton of things I had to do. Therefore there was a lack of posts. But hopefully I will get into a more steadier schedule and can plan things in advance.

As I said in my project samples post I did some research on the Payot brand and found out that it is a Parisian spa brand that was founded in 1927. So they have been around for a while.

I am going to try to make this post short and to the point reviews because I am pretty tired and all I want to do is go to bed with a hot water bottle and fall asleep.

The first is the My Payot Masque which is a very nice face mask that claims to give you a radiance look after using it. I have to say I really like this mask a lot and it hydrates nicely without it being oily. And cleans your face very well. Your face feels fresh and rejuvenated.

The next is the My Payot Créme de Jour which is a daily moisturizer. And I got a couple of uses out of this one, it has a soft apricot yoghurt scent to it and really moisturizes your face nicely without it being oily.

The next is the My Payot Créme de Nuit which is of course the night cream that goes with the day cream. It has the same scent but a thicker consistency and feels a bit heavier on the face. But moisturizes really nicely as well. Especially with these dry nights we have been having with the heavy winds and having to have the heaters on.

Let me know what you think of these Payot products.

Thanks to JohnBeerens.com for giving me these samples to try out.

Project Samples Week 11 ''Payot Edition''

Hi dolls,

I am putting some new life into project samples again. And for this week I have decided to do an one brand samples that I received from the beauty package I received from www.johnbeerens.com.

Payot seems to be a French skincare brand, I have not heard of this brand before so I will have to do some more research on it. But one place to buy it is from Payot at JohnBeerens.com

Now onto the samples.

There is a day cream, night cream and a face mask. I can probably get a couple of uses out of the day and night creams but only one use from the mask. Of course more details will follow at the end of the week.

Let me know if you have heard of Payot before and what you think of this brand.

End of Project Samples Week 10

Hi dolls,

It has been forever since I posted the Project Samples week 10 post but due to personal reasons I did not blog for a while.

But now I am back and am trying to play a little bit of catch up. I don't think I will post week 11 this week. Hopefully next week.

Now you are probably wondering about the reviews of the samples that I used up.

The first is the Sisley Soir de Lune shower gel. This has a fancy floral scent, floral but still pleasant. It is that typical floral scent that you smell and you know right away that it is an expensive product you are smelling. Would I buy this? Probably not as it is pretty expensive.

The second is the L'Oreal Paris Revitalift laser 3x this is a pretty new product and is made for the more mature skin. To me it felt quite greasy, and I am not that big a fan of it. But then again I am 24 and this is targeted to the 40 and over I believe.

The third is the Shiseido Bio performance anti-aging cream, once again this was an anti-aging cream and not really targeted to my age-group but I actually liked this cream and will probably buy this when I am 30 or something. Also shiseido is a pretty high-end brand so it is a bit on the expensive side. But I really enjoyed this sample.

Project Samples Week 10 + Giveaway

Hi dolls,

Can you believe it? It is week 10 of Project Samples already I have to admit time seems to have flown by and my sample collection seem to be slowly but surely decreasing although, me being subscribed to beauty boxes does not help with the decreasing and more with the increasing. I have shampoo and showergel for the upcoming year.

Now onto the samples for this week.

The first one is the L'Oreal revitalift laser 3x sample, I received this sample in the mail for some reason I have two of them. So I thought I would try 1 out for this week and it is a fairly new product in stores.
The second is the Shiseido revolutionary anti-aging cream. Since I liked the Clarins one I thought I would try out the Shiseido one to see if I like it or not.
The last sample is from Sisley en is a perfume bath and shower gel from the Sour de Lune line. I have not smelled this scent so I look forward into trying this one out.

So as you can see from the title, I said I will be doing a giveaway. Well I decided to give you the opportunity to do the same project sample idea, I will randomly select some samples and send it to you through mail. All you have to do is leave your email address so I can contact you and why you want to do project samples. That is all, I will choose a winner on Sunday when week 10 of Project Samples ends.

This giveaway will be open internationally and just leave your email address and why you want to join me in Project samples. Also you get to opportunity to do a guest post/review on the samples you received on my blog.

Good luck! And I look forward to all the entries.

End of Project Samples Week 9

Hi dolls,

I don't think I have ever posted so little this week ever since the beginning of this blog. When it was more of a diary for myself.

But this week, has been a week of trying to get myself straight and getting everything in line. I am glad I posted my small rant post and I am happy that you all support me in my decision. I am also glad that I am not the only out there that had that problem. From the support that I received in that blogpost it just shows that it pays off to be true to yourself. I know it sounds cheesy but honesty is the best way to go. I have always been honest with you and if I weren't I know what lying does to someone too and the consequences.

Now onto the happier part of this post. Which is the project samples week 9 round up. I have been fairly good and actually managed to use most of this all up before the weekend. Normally I am like scrambling on saturday trying to finish all the samples because I tend to procastinate most of the sample uses.

So the first sample was the Angel by Thierry Mugler scented body lotion, ok now I do have a miniature of this sample and I have also smelled it before in stores and always enjoyed it. But they are not joking when they said scented body lotion. Wow was that scent strong, seriously I put it on after showering at night and the next day after my shower I could still smell it from my PJs. I did not mind it that much but when you first put it on, the scent is very strong. It has a soft spice scent to it mixed with a sweetness. So if you like sweet scents this is definitely something you should go out and sniff.

The second and third sample were the Clarins multi regenerate day cream and a night cream. Normally I don't really use anti-ageing cream considering I am 24. And most of the anti-ageing creams are very oily feeling. This was surprisingly moisturizing but not oily. I liked both of them, and definitely something I would consider if I was starting to age. It has a pleasant scent to both of them and the consistency was a cream but not too thick and not too liquidity.

I hope you enjoyed this week's project samples. For upcoming week I will be doing a new selection of samples, I also will be trying to put up a review post (as that was well received), probably film a review video and do a Starlooks Starbox unboxing + review as I just got this in yesterday.

Project Samples Week 9

Hi dolls,

I apologize for the lack of blogposts lately. I really have not been feeling inspired and have been trying to get my mind somewhere else and then go back to blogging so my mind doesn't go crazy. But that has not worked so far. So 1 of the things I like to do to relax and get my head straight is to tidy and clean. So that is what I have been doing with my room. Mainly all my beauty products. I have been rearranging things and also I bought a new shelf container for my makeup. But I still feel like I need more storage space for my makeup.

Anyways I shall stop blabbing and just get back to the project samples.

Like I mentioned I have been tidying and cleaning and re-organizing my beauty products. And I now have a pile of samples that I want to get through before I get to all the other samples basically.

So I am going to start off with these three. The first is the Thierry Mugler Angel perfumed body lotion. I am familiar with the scent as I do have a sample of it. And it is fairly sweet smelling so I hope this body lotion is not too overpowering.

The second and third is the Clarins Multi-regenerantes creams. There is a day and a night cream in this. And it is more of an anti-ageing cream so I hope I like this. It has all sorts of promises saying it will make your skin firmer and basically regenerates it into a younger skin. We'll see if this works lol.

That is it for the samples this week. Let me know which sample you are most looking forward to hearing a review about?

Project Samples End of Week 8

Hi dolls,

Finally my project samples end of week 8 is here. I have been just putting this off, as I have been in this strange funk that I have been in for the last couple of days. I just cannot seem to shake it off. I have no clue what has triggered it and what I can do to shake it off. I guess I just need to sort my head out.

But I will try my best to continue write blogposts and make videos for YouTube.

Anyhows on to the samples that I have used up.

The first is the Toni & Guy shampoo for damaged hair. This had the typical Toni & Guy scent which is very nice. I liked the shampoo, the only problem I had with it is the fact that it is a bit oily feeling. So after my hair is washed, I do feel like my hair is getting greasy easier. So I probably would not be buying the full size of this.

The next is the Aveda conditioner, I could use this twice from this sample. I like this, as this was a nice light weight conditioner. If I could buy this full size I probably would. But I think this is a typical Northern American product. And I think it might be a bit on the pricey side.

The last sample is the Number 4 Lumiere D'hiver serum, this is so nice and smooth, I took about 2 uses from this. I love this but I think it is very pricey for a hair serum, I think this runs around the 35 euro mark.

That is it for the all the samples of week 8. I hope you guys enjoyed and I will do week 9 when I am ready again.

Project Samples Week 8 ''Hair Edition''

Hi everyone,

When I was picking my samples for this week, I thought it would be fun to do a hair edition, so for this week's project samples I have picked all hair care products. Because there are always a lot of hair product samples in my sample boxes. They usually just pile up, because you just get so many like hair oils, shampoos and conditioners. Usually not going together so you always end up with more shampoo than conditioner.

So on the bottom there is the number 4 fluoro5 elixer which is a restore & repair oil. I used the conditioner in the project samples before. I just hope I like this better than the conditioner.
The next is the Aveda smooth infusion conditioner sample, which I am thinking I might just be able to use once. I have never used Aveda products before so I look forward into trying this.
The last is the Toni & Guy cleanse shampoo for damaged hair. I like the scent of the Toni & Guy products, this is definitely a travel size so I will be able to get a few uses out of this. I have not tried this shampoo before so I look forward into trying this out.

Project Samples End of Week 7

Hi dolls,

The entire day I have been busy editing this haul video and then when I was finished the rendering part took forever!!! When rendering a video, my laptop becomes super slow and basically un-workable for me. I just get frustrated and want to throw my laptop out of the window. So I usually do something else in the meantime.

I wanted to put this post up earlier today so I can do a post about the haul video. But I might not upload it as  it is already quite late and I know uploading this video is going to take forever!!!

Anyhow, now for the project samples. End of week 7, this week I really enjoyed the samples.

The first sample is the Guhl rich nourishment hair mask, this was good for just one use. And I really liked the scent of this product. It contains monoi oil and apparently that is great if you have damaged hair. But my hair was already pretty soft so after this I however did not feel a great difference. But the mask working time is only 1 minute so it works pretty fast which is great if you are a quick shower type of girl. I would definitely purchase the full size of this when I run out of my other hair masks.

The second sample is the olaz or olay anti-wrinkle cream, this was a pretty small sample. But because it was anti-wrinkle cream I used this for my eye area and I have to say the cream itself is very greasy so if you have oily skin I would not recommend this. Also as an sample, it had no cap so after I opened it I could only use it once. But I transferred it into a different jar so I could use it multiple times. But after leaving my eye area so oily I just stopped using it and binned the rest of the product.

The last is the Montagne Jeunesse blemish mud mask. This was good for just one use, but I am definitely going out to get more. It is a nice mud mask, which you keep on for about 10-15 minutes or until the mud entirely dries. I left it on for about 15 minutes and when I washed it off, my face felt so fresh and clean! And also dry in a good way and not oily at all!! I have been breaking out so my skin feels pretty oily most of the time and this made my skin feel normal!

That was it for project samples week 7, overall a pretty good impression on me except the olaz/olay cream.

Have you tried any of these products?

Project Samples Week 7

Hi dolls,

as promised project samples is back! I decided to just continue numbering the weeks otherwise it would be way too confusing and if people would like to read back, they can just click whichever week they want to pick. Or would you rather have me start with week 1 again considering we are in a new year?

Now onto the samples.

The first sample is the Guhl Rich nourishing 1 minute hair mask. I received this in a Glossybox that I won, so I am assuming this is a sample size. But it is enough for one use. It contains monoi oil and I have heard amazing things about that. So I am super excited to try that out.
The second sample is the Olaz or Olay sample (it has different names in different countries) it is an anti-aging day cream. Although I don't really need it, I will use it around my eye area as some wrinkles have started to form there booo :-(
The third and final sample is a Montagne Jeunesse blemish mud face mask. I really like the Montagne Jeunesse face masks and I don't think I have tried this one before. I know I really like their peel-off mask, so much fun with the peel off part lol.

I just realized that I have 2 different masks for this week's project samples. Which sample are you most excited about seeing a review about?

Project Samples End of Week 6

Hi dolls,

I know this post is about a week late. So many things happened at once, and I usually don't plan post in advance. I usually type them the day of or even like in the moment. The past weeks I have been busy with the 12 days of Christmas, organizing my giveaways and also of course I had to celebrate Christmas and prepare for New Years Eve.

So now onto the little reviews of the samples I used up.

The first one is the Number 4 Hair Care L'eau de Mare conditioner, I first thought it was a serum type of product but it is not. It is actual conditioner to use after shampoo. This conditioner however smelt pretty nice but it was very heavy. Something that is named water of the sea or lake (my french is not that great) it is not very light it is very heavy. It is also pretty expensive to purchase, so I won't purchase the full size of this.
The second is the Schwarzkopf BonaCure sun protect shampoo, I had to use this up. Because it was bothering me, for a sun protect shampoo it is very greasy feeling. This did however smelt like typical hair dresser product.
The third sample is the meridol mouth wash, I used this before. It is ok, not the greatest, I like my mouthwash to be a bit more menthol. Not menthol enough for me.

Ok now I shall clarify what will be going on for Project Samples, this will continue for the new year but I won't do a new week tomorrow. But next week Monday. Because at the moment I have other things planned and I don't want to bomb you guys with all my blogposts.

Have a great New Years Eve tomorrow!!! Be safe!

Project Samples Week 6

Hi dolls,

this week's project samples is not going to be very exciting mostly because my skin is having an off-week and need to use my trusted products in order to get it back in shape. Therefore no skincare products this week, hopefully I might be able to do some next week. But I am not sure yet, as it will be Christmas and to be honest I will be so busy I don't know if I will be able to do all of the testing and also have some other things I want to test out and review for you all. So I might just skip next week. But we'll see.

Anyhow on to my samples of the week. My apologies for the bad lighting in this picture, it is completely dark outside and it has been gloomy all day.

First sample is from Number 4 Hair Care, it is the L'eau de Mare hydrating condition. I thought it was a conditioner but it is not. It is a hair serum, it says I can get 3 uses out of it. We'll have to see about that.
The second sample is the Schwarzkopf BonaCure Sun Protect hair shampoo, I know I should actually use this in the summer but I have started to use some of it already. And it is bothering me that I still have some left from the summer so I need to finish this.
The third sample is a repeat from a couple of weeks ago when I had the same Meridol mouthwash. Well I had 2 samples of these and decided it needs to go so it is put in this weeks project sample.

I do apologize for not having such a great selection this week. But some samples need to go!!
Also I will be doing a 1-brand only project samples very soon as requested by Natasha, if any of you have any other request please do leave a comment.

Project Samples End of Week 5

Hi dolls,

it is Sunday which means it is the end of Project Samples week 5 already. It seems like the weeks pass so fast like it is unreal. I always feel like it was just yesterday when I picked out the samples for the week and then it is the end of the week already and I have to write the short reviews of the samples.

Maybe you still remember this week I only had 3 samples and have to admit I could not finish the Biosilk sample, as it is pretty decent size and I don't actually use the serum every day because it makes my hair always really heavy so I use it every other day.

The first sample is the L'Oreal Youth Code Luminize serum, I did not really like this, it is a huge difference from the Lancome Genefique serum. When I applied this, it left this residue which felt like my skin was peeling off and then on some areas on my face it felt like it was breaking me out. So yeah this kind of scared me but luckily the next day it was ok, I applied this at night btw.
The second sample is the BioSilk, I have to admit I love this product. You only need a little bit and I usually apply it on towel dry hair. It smells exactly like how a hair salon smells when you first walk in. This product really makes your hair feel silky smooth, but as I said I only use this every other day even though I do wash my hair every day. I try not to wash it every day but I just can't help myself.
The third and final sample of this week was the Biotherm Biosensitive cleansing milk, it said it was for sensitive skin, it smells like a typical sensitive skin scent (if you get what I mean?) it just smells much softer. It took of my face makeup fine but I don't think I would purchase the full size as I don't really find it necessary there are plenty of other nicer products out there.

What kind of product sample should I pick next? Or shout out a random brand maybe I actually have a sample of that brand.

Project Samples Week 5

Hi dolls,

As promised the project samples week 5 post with new samples!! I have to admit, doing this weekly sample posts for some reason makes the week go by so fast and most importantly Christmas is only 2 weeks away!!

Anyhow onto my project samples week 5 samples.

The first one is the L'Oreal Youth Code Luminize super serum, just a face serum. I think this is suppose to be a dupe for the Lancome Génifique serum. Probably could get more uses out of it but the packaging makes it a bit hard and it probably will dry out if I wanted to use it the next day.
The next to that is the Biotherme neutral cleanser gentle milk for face and eyes. Just one use probably, I use a cleanser milk sometimes after I have taken off my makeup with makeup wipes so it really takes off all the makeup as wipes usually leaves some makeup on your face.
The last is the BioSilk silk therapy hair serum, this is a very popular serum and although I have been using it, I thought I would still put it with this bunch as it lasts forever and I have another bottle of this laying around somewhere. (review will follow at the end fo the week)

What do you think of the picks for this week? Have you used any of these products before? If so let me know what you think.

Have a great week everyone! xox Ellen

End of Project Samples Week 4

Hi dolls,

I know I am a day late with my post and to be honest I completely forgot, I got so caught up watching CSI last night that by the time I realized I needed to write this blogpost it was already 1 AM and I needed to go to bed because I was so tired. I wasn't even paying attention to what they were saying anymore, so I really have no clue what happened lol.

Anyhow, the end of week 4 already. This week we had 4 samples, 1 of the samples was from week 3.

Ok so the first 2 samples at the top there were the shampoo and conditioner duo from Sabon. The packaging was quite nice although not the best thing when you realize that the packaging gets wet (the outer packaging is like this paper) I tried my best to preserve the packaging drying it immediately after I was done in the shower. The scent didn't really do it for me, it had this plant/herbal scent to it that was fairly strong. I like my shampoo and conditioner to have a more soft, sweet powdery scent or the hair salon product scents.  The scent on this was quite overpowering and therefore it kind of put me off immediately. The shampoo was ok to use but the conditioner really weighed my hair down or so it feels like. Obviously this was an 1 use sample so the true effects cannot be judged upon. But I will not buy the full size of this just because the scent put me off.

The third sample is the Weleda Buckthorne body oil, this was an interesting product to use as I never used a specific body oil, I have had oil massages before but this was different. I previously tried the Weleda buckthorne body lotion but was put off by the strong scent. This had a similar scent but not as strong, it has a very citrus/herbal scent to it which does not appeal to me at all. But this was very tolerable actually. I have been using this body oil on my legs because using it on my upper body it would have been too much and the scent would put me off. But after a couple of uses this body oil really hydrates and moisturizes my legs so well. My legs felt super smooth and this body oil was not oily at all, the skin took it in really nicely. Still I would not purchase the full size of this, because of the scent just not my thing.

The fourth sample is the Lancome Rouge In Love lipstick sample, this was such a nice color on the lips. Very pinky coral, a very nice summer color. It says it lasts for 6 hours, I wouldn't say 6 hours necessarily but it did leave a stain of the lipstick. Because I had to apply this with my finger, it left a stain on my finger! But I do like this and it wasn't drying on the lips either. So I might actually pick up the full size of this.

A post of the new samples for week 5 will be up later tonight.

Project Samples Week 4

Hi dolls,

I wanted to post this yesterday but I think I posted like 3 posts and thought it would be a little bit over kill if I posted another one which is why project samples post got delayed to today. Which also turns out better because I took the product photos in day light today even though it has been raining all day so it is not the best lighting.

Anyways I seem to be coming along pretty nicely with my project samples and for some reason even though I have a lot of samples I have a difficulty picking the samples for this week. I want to use some of the samples and then decide not to because it has cute packaging does anyone have that? Because it has cute packaging you don't want to use it?

From left to right;
The first is the Sabon conditioner for smooth and glossy hair. I have not tried Sabon products before so I look forward into trying this.
Second is the Sabon shampoo for normal hair, as I said I have never tried Sabon products before I look forward into trying this. (I should've put shampoo first and then the conditioner *epic fail!! )
The third is the Weleda buckthorn body oil, if you remember I received this in 1 of my Glossyboxes I believe. I hated the bodylotion because of the scent but the body oil is actually tolerable for some reason. I need to use this up because it bothers me.
The fourth is a leftover sample from last week, which I looked forward to trying out but ended up overlooking. It is the Lancome Rouge In Love lipstick sample.
