Deze kost maar € 12,50 vergeleken met de 15 euro van de rest van de boxen. En deze past door de brievenbus dus je hoeft nooit op de pakket bezorger te wachten. Wat veel tijd scheelt. Ik ben een beetje aan het experimenteren met mijn verlichting laat me weten wat je ervan vindt. En wat je van de box vindt natuurlijk.

Bites We Love Subscription

Hi dolls,

I have a new-ish find for you all. And it is a food subscription service, well it provides bites/snacks. This is a new concept here in the Netherlands, and I have to say I love eating snacks.

The Bites We Love subscription is a weekly but you can also put it on every other week. The subscription costs € 4.95 per shipment. Which means it is € 4.95 every week or every other week. I don't think this is too bad considering they have to mail it to you. 

You can pick out the profile that fits your taste and you can rate the bites so they know what to send you next time and what not to send you.

This is what the packaging looks like and just fits through the mailbox.

I think the packaging is adorable! And everything was so yummy! I received nuts but also some chocolate bits and dried fruit and seeds. 

I know I love the beauty subscriptions and such, but this is great too! I put the subscription on every other week because every week, I think for me personally is a bit costly. But other than that these snacks are amazing!! 

Let me know if you have ever tried a food subscription before? And what did you think of it? A hit or a total miss?

Glossybox 1 Year Anniversary November 2012 Unboxing

finally I managed to put up my Glossybox unboxing up for you. I filmed this last Saturday and we are now Tuesday... I received the box on Friday and couldn't wait and ripped it open to see what I received in my box especially because it is their anniversary box I was super excited about all the goodies that were in the box. 

Also it has been over a week since I last put a video up, if you read my posts you will know I have been having a crazy week and filming was last thing on my mind after all the bad energy. I do feel really bad because I love filming videos. Which reminds me, I haven't done a tutorial in a while... any requests?

Hi dolls,

here are my final 2 videos that I recorded along with the previous 4 that I uploaded over the past 2 days. I have to say it is a relief to have all these videos up now, I still however have a couple more review videos to do and then I am done for the list of videos to film that I made whilst I was moving. 

It is funny that before I was moving I hardly had any inspiration to film, and that during the moving time the videos seem to pile up. I have no idea how that happened, well I kinda do because most of the videos that I uploaded these past couple of days were unboxing videos. Anyhow I shall stop ranting and just post the links to my videos.

This video is a special 1 because I won this special Glossybox in a giveaway on Glossybox's website so it was very exciting!

Hi dolls,

I finally finished editing this video and uploading it to my YouTube channel because I have this box in my posession now for like a week.... And I just uploaded the video. I know I am horrible but I have been so overwhelmed with the support I have been getting on my blog. I hit over 100 followers and on my YouTube where I hit over 500 subscribers. I am so excited about this. I keep being surprised on the fact that people take the time to read my blog and to watch my videos. I will have something to thank you all coming soon so stay tuned. Also I got nominated for a Liebster award and 2 days later I got another nomination so I will be doing that blogpost soon.

First Beauty ByVicky Unboxing (October 2012)

I announced this sample subscription service a while back and the boxes have finally shipped. I was very excited about this box and the brands that it had to offer. Beauty ByVicky is a new sample subscription service here in the Netherlands and unfortunately don't ship internationally yet. If that changes, you will be the first to know. It basically is a beauty box by blogger for bloggers although if you are a beauty lover you can sign up too. The box has brands that bloggers like to see, and if you have a suggestion of a product you like to see in the box you can email them and they usually reply within 24 hours. 

The box itself is € 14.95 per month which includes shipping.

Starlooks Starbox September 2012 Unboxing + Review *

I know it has been a while since I last done a proper blog post. I said I was going to do one yesterday but I really just been not feeling it at all. A lot of things has been going on in my head and it is driving me insane. I will probably talk about it at a later point because even though I do feel like writing about it I don't want to jump to conclusions before I have it confirmed. (I feel so mature writing that because if it was a year ago I probably would've said right there and have my conclusions done....) Anyhow I do have to apologize because I should have not left my blog and just kept posting like I normally do because writing is a way for me to relax and talking is a way for me to relax.. Probably why this video is so long.... (just a lil warning there lol)

As you can see from the title it is an unboxing video and a review video in 1. Just a quick little intro, Starbox is a monthly subcription service done by Starlooks which is a cosmetics company. So it is an all makeup subscription box which I am super excited about. It is only $ 15 US dollars a month which includes shipping for US residents but they do ship internationally and you will have to email them about it and ask. I have found out that shipping to the Netherlands is 7 US dollars so it is actually not too bad. And you can also order previous boxes if you like. Ok I have to make 2 seperate posts so people won't be confused about this. It is an unboxing video of a sample subscription service this sample subscription service is currently only available in the Netherlands but I always like watching these unboxing videos because it gives me a good comparison of the different sample boxes different countries provide.

This subscription was € 12.95 a month but has now raised their prices to € 14.95 not only Truly Yours did this but Glossybox as well. If you have watched my last couple of unboxing videos of Glossybox you know that I have not been very pleased with their service. I have now cancelled once again, because it has been costing me too much money whilst I don't really need their service for their products they provide.

Anyhow here is my Truly Yours unboxing judge for yourself which one you prefer.

Truly Yours August 2012 Box Review

If I am correct this week I will be receiving my Truly Yours September box, the people who live outside of the Netherlands and don't know my unboxing videos. Truly Yours is a sample subscription service just like glossybox and birchbox. The price was € 12.95 per month but they were forced to raise their prices as well to € 14.95 but I got the opportunity to sign up now for their normal price of € 12.95 per month until I stop my subscription. Which first of all is really nice of them, glossybox never gave me the opportunity to do that. 

Besides you will notice that I like the Truly Yours boxes much more than the Glossybox because the products in the Truly Yours are far better than Glossybox. Both in size and the variety of products and also their customer service is spot on. I am in regular contact with them through my twitter and facebook account.  I have seen other people asking questions and they usually answer within hours except weekends of course.

Anyhow on to the review part of this post which was the entire intention.

First product in this box was the Snowberry Smoothing Eye Serum. It says, good things come in small packages and this certainly was small. The sample size was only 7ml but to think that the full size is 15ml this sample was a great size. This product originates from New Zealand and I was super excited to try this out because I have never heard of this brand before and also because it is from New Zealand, not a lot beauty products are from there. It is an eye serum containing the New Zealand snowberry and it reduces under eye bags and fine lines. I have to say I love this product, it is just great product, the consistency is more of a cream not a runny serum. But I prefer that cream consistency much better because it smears better and also you use less product.

Sample Size worth € 29.40 7ml (Full size is € 63.- 15ml)

The second product was the Weleda Rosa Mosqueta vitalizing face moisturizer, as the name says it is roses. I have to say the scent of this product was way too strong for me and therefore I only sampled a tiny bit of it. Because even though I don't mind rosy scents this was too overpowering rosy that I could not stand the smell of it. So I did not use it. I did receive a full size product.

The third product was the Weleda Rosa Mosqueta night moisturizer, as the daily moisturizer once again I did not care for this product so I did not even open it to try.

The fourth product was something I could use after 2 not for me products. It was the impulss nail polish in the color 009. It is a very nice dark blue color with silver running through, so in some lights it kinda looks grey. I love it! I put it on my toe nails to try out because my finger nails are still in summer mood lol.

The fifth product was the Korres Guava showergel, even though this was only sample size it was a deluxe sample. I have been wanting to try out something by Korres because I heard great things about the brand. And I have to say this showergel did its work, it smells really good, if you like that guava and nature mix. It is an unique scent but I like it, not too overpowering.

The last product in the box was an extra and it was a sample of the new Marc Jacobs Dot perfume, the scent is floral with its main component being jasmin. It is quite nice but don't think it will become 1 of my favorites.

Overall this box was great if you like the Weleda moisturizers because those two were full sizes and just one of them paid for the box already. The eye serum is a nice new product to try out and the nail polish, I can never have too many nail polishes. 

I think with the products that I do not use or just tried out once from my boxes, I will collect and giveaway at some point when I think I have enough products. Of course I will put it one of the boxes so it will actually look like a beauty box.

So overall this box has a value of € 69.21 which does not include the Marc Jacobs sample, I have to say this is a great value for a box that only costs € 12.95 I just wish the Weleda stuff didn't stink that much lol. What do you think of the contents of this box?

Fortune Cookie Soap Halloween Soapbox! Pre-order

I was upset because I did not get the fall Fortune Cookie soapbox also because I did not want to subscribe to another subscription service. Because I do not want to go through the hassle of cancelling after 1 box or changing my shipping address (which is usually a pain with these boxes) because I am moving soon. I know something will be going wrong, because this is me we are talking about.

Anyhow I was super excited when Fortune Cookie Soap announced they were doing a Halloween special soapbox which was just going to be an one off box that you can order without any strings attached. Of course I had to get it, and with that also blowing my budget for the following month. Because the box itself is $20 usd for USA, $28 usd for Canada and $34 usd for overseas. I have put myself once again on a tight budget for next month. I however do not think $ 34 dollars is that much for a soap box which is going to be filled with goodies and the fact that it has to be shipped al the way to the Netherlands. 

Normally they don't tell you what you will be getting in your soapbox but this time they did list all the items probably because it is such a limited edition box.

All of them sound super exciting. I cannot wait for the boxes to ship which will be on October 1st. I love Halloween, it just sucks that The Netherlands is not a country participating in Halloween. GlossyBox September 2012 Unboxing

Today I have an unboxing of my September Glossybox, after my rant post about me cancelling. I signed back up with the hope that this month's box was going to be a special edition. I have to say it is special alright, but not as exciting as I had hoped for. I feel like after the past 2 crappy boxes the October box must be an exciting one.

Also I have to apologize for my appearance, I was planning on doing stuff for my blog and edit videos so I knew I was not going to be out of the house. Hence the glasses, no makeup and my Maroon 5 t-shirt.

GlossyBox September 2012 Unboxing

GlossyBox August 2012 Review

I have decided to go back to my old format of doing a review for the sample boxes I receive because I have gotten feedback of people thinking that I have done an unboxing before. But yeah, so I thought I would do a review in a post here and just link it from my YouTube channel and vice versa.

So first product in the box was also the most exciting product of the 5 products I have received for the August box. This was the Kiehl's Lip Balm #1, I have heard so much about Kiehls and I have been wanting to try out 1 of their products but just never happen to pick one up whenever I was in Amsterdam. 

This lip balm really is as amazing as everyone claims it to be. It is smooth, very moisturizing, there is no scent and you only need the tiniest amount. It is like a clear formula that kind melts onto your lips. Also I love the packaging.

The second product is by Indola and is an Innova Color Shampoo, I was not very excited about this because I do not have color treated hair. So I did not use it to be honest so I can't tell you if it works or not. This was sample size and the scent was a typical professional hair care scent.

The 3rd product in my box was a makeup product and it was the Vera Valenti eye pencil in black and this was a full size product. The packaging feels very inexpensive and although the size of the pencil is slightly longer than the normal pencil. I did not feel like this product was that great. The kohl in the eyeliner was very tough so I had to put a little bit more force into it, which in turn I was pulling my eyelids. Staying power was not great either.

The 4th product in my box was also a makeup product and also by Vera Valenti. It is an eyeshadow palette and I was not too keen when I first saw it, especially because it looks very inexpensive. It has 8 eyeshadows, 1 blush and 2 small double ended sponge tip applicators. I don't really use the sponge tip applicators. The blush is very chalky though, so not so keen on the blush. The eyeshadows however were a huge shock to me, because my oh my do they have a great pigmentation. Seriously the pigmentation is amazing! I wish I have swatches to show you, but I will do that in a different post.

Last product in my box is something that I have seen in both the UK boxes and the US boxes. And that is the Glossybox brush. They say it is a brush that can be used for the face and specifically for blush, which I am not very sure of it. Because for blush, I like my brushes to be more dense and this brush does not have that. It picks up barely any product and is very harsh and rough on my skin. Not that soft at all. Also this brush is not very suitable for any vegans amongst us because it is made from goat hair.

So overall this box was a bit of a let down for me, I cancelled and then re-subscribed because they said they were going to do a special September box. And people who know me, I am a sucker for special editions and limited editions. I am usually the one  sucked into all of this by those ''special'' and ''limited'' editions. 

So overall this box has a value of € 26.18 I think that is the lowest value I have received a box to date.

I am back with another unboxing video. How exciting! I have been waiting for this box to come in for a week now. Truly Yours team had us all in suspense, because the hints they gave sounded so good! So I was super excited about it all.

Truly Yours August 2012 Unboxing Video

GlossyBox is Officially CANCELLED!

I have decided to officially cancel my GlossyBox, I just was not happy with the content of the box. 

I will give you the reasons why I cancelled my GlossyBox;

My very first Glossybox the affordable favorites edition in May was amazing. Ok fair enough all drugstore and 5 out of 6 were fullsize. I was super happy and was looking forward to my June Glossybox. In my June GlossyBox I got a double from my Truly Yours Box the sea salt spray from Toni & Guy. Not a huge deal there but I wish Toni & Guy would not give out these samples to all beauty boxes. I am not a huge fan of Yves Rocher makeup especially they are a tad overpriced for an ok makeup brand. The other 2 products were alright, not a massive fan but usable. The thing that really upset me was the Herome toe seporators that you use when painting your toe nails. I did not feel like that was a product, they could've done it as an extra and yes I did look through my box for the nail polish that would have been nice to come with it.

My July box, was an improvement from the June box. The product that I have used everyday was the Himalaya Herbals foaming facewash. The entire contents of the box has no high end products, or you have to count Kryolan as a more of higher end product which I don't. The two Weleda buckthorn samples really smelled bad in my opinion so I did not use that. The shampoo made my hair really greasy in my already grease prone hair. Nail polish is pretty but the value was € 3.- whilst in my Truly Yours box I received a full size Essie nail polish worth € 9.99 so yeah....

This month's box was there was 1 high end product and that was the Kiehl's lip balm, which I am really happy about. I received an Indola color shampoo, I do not have color treated hair. 2 Vera Valenti products that looked cheap, ok I do buy ELF products.... I expected more high end products from GlossyBox. And the 5th product was their GlossyBox blush brush which in the US and the UK box it was counted as an extra not as a product part of the box. 

I will re-subscribe to GlossyBox when it has more high end products. I rather spend my money on things I know I will love, I am still subscribed to Truly Yours and their boxes have been great so far and no disappointments. 

This is my opinion about the box, I don't have anything against GlossyBox, because I love the concept. I just feel these products in their boxes are not for me.
