I am Baaaaackkk!!!

Hello my lovelies,

after a very long time, I have decided to put some new life in my blog. I have not been feeling the need of blogging for the past couple of months. At first I was so busy with everything that was happening at work I literally had no time, I would be working 6 days a week sometimes and on my day off I just wanted to do like nothing.

And then I was unexpectedly laid off for like a f*cked off reason, because my manager could not handle the fact that I was doing a better job than her. She claimed that I had no leadership skills, and could not sell. I for a fact know that I don't like to force my team to do something but rather have them feel good about themselves and do the things they need to do from themselves. I am not a tyrant. I also know how to sell, because not only do I have a love for marketing, I also know how to put on a sales pitch. Every teacher of mine has said so and one of my teachers actually told me I should start my own company because I have such a strong business sense. But that biatch can handle things all by herself and I want to announce that I have decided to pick up my own crap that I have been neglecting because I wanted to put so much into my work.

I even had to stay at home a couple of days because I overexhausted my back. I even had to go to the physio therapist for that. 

But I am excited to announce that I have now moved in with my boyfriend, not only am I ready for a new chapter in my life. I am desperately looking for a new job in order to maintain my makeup addiction. I have also decided to put in new life into my youtube channel and my blog.

Foundation Routine Using Drugstore Products

I have uploaded a new video once again and I have decided to go with the good old Foundation Routine, the last foundation routine I uploaded was from a very long time ago and decided I needed an updated one and decided to use all drugstore products. Of course I had to buy the core collection face brush set from Real Techniques that I have had my eye on for like forever! And a Physicians Formula Happy booster in Rose which is a glow & mood boosting blush.

And when you click the freebie tab at the top, you can pick 1 freebie from all those products for free! I picked the moisturizing socks, because they looked interesting and I have never tried such a product before.

Fragrance Direct Haul

Hello lovelies,

I have decided to do a small-ish Fragrance Direct haul here on my blog instead of keep filming these haul videos because I get tired of saving up all my purchases and now being able to use some of them, or remember to film a haul. I just don't want my channel to be all about hauls to be honest.

So thats everything I bought, I bought an Elizabeth Arden cream blush, an Essie base coat polish, Essie polish, Becca foundation stick, Becca Sheer Foundation stick and a Becca fine pressed powder.

Thats the Elizabeth Arden Cream blush in Honey, it is gorgeous and it was such a good deal could not pass that up. It is pretty small though.

This is the Becca Foundation Stick in Capuccino and I basically bought this to use for contouring. I thought I would buy it in a bit darker color so I can experiment with the extreme contouring a la Kim Kardashian.

This is the Becca Sheer Foundation Stick in Brulee, and will actually be my shade during the summer when I become a little bit darker. These stick foundations have great reviews and are an absolute steal on Fragrance Direct.

The last item from this haul is this Becca Fine Pressed Powder in Cocoa, I know what you are thinking wow that is dark. And I basically bought for contouring, I thought I could experiment with it. The price of it is just as good as a normal drugstore bronzer.

today I actually don't have a video post for you. Although I probably should get to editing those 2 videos I have filmed previously. I have been kind of lazy and also I have been spending the day doing my tax-return and also some other formal stuff. I hate these types of days because it seems to consist of nothing fun but oh well it has to be done.

Limited Box Review (DO NOT BUY THIS BOX)

I normally don't like doing negative reviews especially when I have a really bad experience with something. But considering I do reviews and I want to be honest with my readers and viewers I do good and bad reviews. Today however will be a bad review. 

Well a little bit of background story first, I was googling some boxes on the Dutch websites and blogs and saw limited box come by and I was intrigued, all the people who reviewed them had amazing boxes and seemed really good value. So I decided it was time for me to go on their website and do the same, they had a Valentine's theme box that was € 14,95 including shipping. So I went for that, they are not a monthly subscription service they are a surprise box service I guess. Now the box I received was really disappointing and had a value of what I would say not even worth € 5.-

The box came like this, and shipping took about a week. Which for Dutch standards is way too long, because when you ship something domestically you can expect it to arrive tomorrow. International packages take about a week or more. 

This was everything in the box.... Not impressive at all!!!

First thing, is a golden rose shatter nailpolish now this trend has passed and even OPI shatter polishes are retailing for 3 euros nowadays. The next product was an one use sample of a body lotion. Value for me nothing!! The product after that is a tea leaves sample, yes leaves that looked like they were gathered in someones garden! There is this skull bracelet that a 5-year old might like. And the most exciting thing in this box is this hello kitty korean lip balm.

There are some flyers in there, that have no value whatsoever. A pair of fake angry birds earrings that a 5-year old might like. And lastly there is a silver midi-ring in there. Yes just one single silver midi-ring.

If you are looking at this box in total, do you think this is worth the €14.95 that i paid for it? I don't think so. It is the crappiest box I have ever seen. And nothing Valentine related to be found and it took forever to get to me.

I think I won't order with them ever again. I know I have received some bad beautyboxes, but this is just ridiculous!!!

Ok I think I am done ranting about it now. Just a warning to my fellow Dutchies out there, don't do it!!

Starlooks Starbox February 2014 Unboxing + Swatches

Hello my lovelies,

now finally after waiting for way too long, I have received the February starbox. For those who don't know what Starbox is, it is a monthly subscription service where you will receive full size Starlooks makeup items each month. It costs $ 15.- per month plus shipping and is available worldwide. Also in your birthday month, they usually send you a birthday box too! Just as a bonus.

Now the products that you will receive always exceed in value what you paid for the box. And my experience with Starlooks is that their products are usually really high quality.

Enough blabbing. Lets get to the box itself.

It seems like a pretty good filled starbox for February. Usually the colors can be a total hit or miss.

The first product in this box is this lipstick in Lilu, well to be honest I am not a big fan of gold lipstick but I might be able to use this color for an ombre lip.

The second product in this box is a cream eyeshadow in the color Phaser, it is a purple blue-ish color and to be honest not a huge fan. Just by the texture I can already tell it is going to be a cream shadow that is going to crease like crazy on my lids. Also the swatch I had to do it 2 times in order to get some color pay off, not the best Starlooks product out there.

Now the last product in this box besides the extras is this pigment, and the color is called Wall Street. Now I am not a huge fan of pigments because I always end up with tons of fall out and when I take off my makeup I always find some specks of glitter on my face even after washing. The color is a very dark grey with multi-colored glitters. When I do receive pigments I like to receive vibrant colors so I can play around with for makeup looks. The pigment is very nice quality, but the color is nothing special.

Now for the extras, I received a headband to hold back my hair whilst doing makeup which is always handy. And a quartz crystal, they put this in every starbox so you can collect these and put them in your makeup brushes jar to give your brushes good energy.

Also I received a code for $35.- giftcard. Basically if you join Starbox you will receive an extra gift worth $35.- every 3 months just for being a subscriber. This giftcard you can use on the Starlooks website.. Now what should I buy from them?

Oh yeah before I forget the breakdown of the value of this box. This box has a total value of $ 41.-
Lipstick value - $ 12.-
Cream Eyeshadow value - $ 12.-
Pigment value - $ 17.-

But this product I was really excited about when seeing this in stores. It is a drugstore product that could be a dupe for a high end product. What it is, you will have to find out in my video.

Preview of Essence Cookies & Cream Collection

Hello my lovelies,

today I bring you a preview of an upcoming Essence collection that will be released in March here in the Netherlands. Anywhere else that sell Essence probably will be having this collection either soon or will already have it.

This collection is as you can probably tell by the name of the collection, inspired by cookies and cream colours. So you will be finding a lot of soft vanilla, rose and creamy brown colours. There will be eyeshadows, jumbo eye pencils, lip glosses, a blush, shimmer pearls, nail polishes, a mini nailfile that will smell of cookies and a hand cream that smells of cookies. I have seen the pictures and I might have to buy this entire collection it just looks so good not to have!

So what will you be getting? I will definitely be getting the shimmer pearls and the blush, and probably a bunch of other things too. Love it all too much!!
