Quick lil post

Just a quick post to let you all know that there is a great offer going on at asos.com there is free shipping, often only for UK residents but it is now for worldwide shipping as well. If you use the ASOS20 discount code you get 20% off any ASOS brand products. The offer ends today at midnight GMT. I am still hesitating whether or not I should order something or not. Especially after I have ordered stuff from theOutnet and also from the H&M website. I will show the things that I have ordered in Friday's post.

I have found out today that they are expecting it to be -14 degrees Celsius in the Netherlands! I can't believe it is going to be this cold and it is only the beginning of Winter. What is on the agenda next for us? Hopefully I won't have to go out doors that day. Just sit inside and enjoy a cuppa!

Happy shopping!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Ok my music recommendation has nothing to do with snow but it has been snowing all day today. And thought it would be appropriate to have a snow related post title. Basically it has been the first official snow day, snow falling from the sky is a wonderful sight. Seeing all the snow makes me want to go on the slopes again and do some snowboarding, this time though not to end up in the hospital to get an x-ray.

Anyways the post of today is about Cheryl Cole. For the people who don't know her she is one fifth of the girl band Girls Aloud. She is also an X factor UK judge. Her music is quite catchy, her first album, ''3 Words'' was a hit and now her second album, ''Messy Little Raindrops'' is a hit as well. Her first single of her second album ''Promise This'' was a number one hit. My recommendation for today is her second single of her second album called ''The Flood''. It is a nice ballad song, very different from her usual singles. This song has been playing almost non stop for the entire weekend. I hope you will like it as much as I do. Enjoy!

A not so pleasant forecast

So I was just reading up on the news and the weather forecast for tomorrow is looking absolutely awful. They are expecting a lot of snow along with the cold that is already happening. Why I have such a dislike for snow you ask. Well after last year's antics of all the snow, having snow for almost 3-4 months and no normal public transport (a journey that would normally take 3 hours took me 7 hours to get home). I am kinda fed up with it, although I would love to go back on the slopes again.

Last year I went snowboarding for the first time in Glenshee, the environment there was absolutely gorgeous unfortunately it wasn't a very sunny day and apparently it was very icy. I had to quit half way through the day because I had hurt my wrist and apparently I was lucky that I didn't broke it. Which would have been a total disaster because I was in the midst of having coursework and a dissertation to write. But despite all of that I had a great time, can't wait for the next opportunity to come up to go on the slopes.

Anyways I said yesterday that this blog would be a bit more meaningful. Well I was thinking up ideas of what to do with this blog, and I have decided to make a theme days such as music monday and fashion friday. Now all I need is another theme to do blog posts 3 times a week. I need to think of something to do with wednesday, I will sleep on it another night and probably share with you on wednesday. So those will be my main days to post, but if there is a special event or something special I want share I will post on a different day as well.

So I have one more thing to share, for all the fashionistas out there who aren't a member of theoutnet.com they are having a free shipping to all destinations which ends tonight at midnight. It is an amazing website with a lot of amazing bargains.

First blog post

Hi and welcome to my first blog post.

My name is Ellen and I am 22 years old and currently living at home in the Netherlands since I have graduated. I graduated at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland. I have created this blog to share my thoughts and share my love for some of my favorite things. This can be a wide range of things but that will be shared in the course of time.

I have done blogs and websites before but I could never maintain them and I am planning to keep this blog going for at least a year. See if I can actually do that. Hopefully you will all enjoy my posts although many will probably make no sense to you or you will think I am crazy.

Anyways enough chat for my first blog post,

xoxox Ellen
